This is an ecommerce site selling shade sails to the French market. It was developed using the Kraken light weight, mobile first boiler plate developed by Chris Ferdinandi and available through GitHub under the MIT license. It is an html5 / CSS3 minimalist design that is responsive and compatible with all modern browsers. The site entirely hand coded in html/php and does not use a database. The shopping cart system is a bespoke design that uses arrays and flat files with no database. Site speed and simplicity were the main drivers for the design. Payments can be made using SagePay, PayPal, bank transfer and cheque (yes the French still use them!). The site has just been moved to SSL using SSLMate certificates ordered from the command line. The site scores an A+ rating with Qualys-SSL-Labs.
