Philips TV launches the digital activation of the award winning ski film Afterglow. The Afterglow Ski Game is a 1st person 3D freeride game where you collect light boosts while racing down a dark mountain. The game is developed on the PlayCanvas WebGL engine with a lot of effort being put on playability and managing massive textures and lightmaps. The game is written in Javascript using the PlayCanvas engine with custom WebGL shaders with GLSL. The 3D environment is built in Cinema4D with textures in Photoshop. The site runs on RequireJS, Backbone and Grunt to name a few.
